Three Year Old Class….
where “we can have lots of good fun that is funny”
You are invited to join the fun and learning. Come on down to room 113A. Mrs. Davidson and Ms. Lovelady will be ready and waiting for you beginning on Monday, August 12th.
“I am Ms. Yvonne Lovelady and this will be my 8th year at Little Scouts. I have been teaching for 24 years with ages ranging from 0 to 12 years old. I am working towards a BA in Early Childhood. I also coach Girl’s Track at LFHS. This spring will be my 5th season. I am so excited to begin another great year at Little Scouts.”
“I’m Mrs. Carol Davidson and this will be my 14th year at Little Scouts and 16th year of teaching preschool. I have a BS in Elementary Education. Before returning to teaching I was an at-home mom for 15 years. I’m looking forward to an exciting year of learning.”
We are both very excited to be teaching together for a fourth year in the 3-year-old program. We have a lot of fun and exciting activities planned for this year. Please check the parent bulletin board and the memo board outside our classroom for information about our day, upcoming events, school information, etc. We will also send important reminders by email. This year we are planning to do weekly postings to the Little Scout webpage at www.littlescouts.weebly.com so be sure to sign the website release and email information that is attached. (Please be patient with us as this will be our first year using the web site.)

Upon arrival at Little Scouts each day:
Have your child hang his/her coat and backpack in his/her cubby. The 3’s cubbies are located in the pod outside the 3-year-old classrooms. All other toys and personal items should remain in your car or at home.
Sign your child in on the attendance clipboard.
Help your child wash his/her hands. This is a DCFS requirement which helps to reduce the spread of germs within our school.
Children need to wear or bring athletic shoes to school every day.
Full day children will need to bring a blanket for naptime. They may also bring a small pillow and/or ONE SMALL stuffed animal or soft doll. These will be sent home at the end of each week to be washed. Please be sure they are returned to school at the beginning of the next week. If your child brings a special toy or blanket that needs to be sent home each day, please let us know. If your child needs a pull-up for nap time please bring a supply.
Please bring the following items on your first day of school:
A complete change of clothing including shirt, pants, socks and underwear. Please LABEL each item with your child’s name and place them in a plastic bag. Clothing items need to be replaced as they are used.
A sweater or sweatshirt (labeled with child’s name) to be left at school. The temperature in our classroom fluctuates during the day.
2 boxes of facial tissue
1 box of wet wipes
1 box washable markers
1 package of glue sticks
1 box of size zip-lock bags, ______________ size
A family photo (one that we can keep)
$25.00 cash (in an envelope labeled with child’s name) to cover the cost of photo processing and special projects.
Information sheet for class directory, email and internet (see attached).
Completed “emergency card” (both sides). If this information changes during the year please let us know immediately.
We value our Little Scout families and welcome you to come into the classroom to read, do projects, or to share special interests or family traditions. In October we will be having a family “make and take”. Watch for more information in September. We look forward to getting to know you and your child. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email one of us, or Ms. Shari Kantor (director of Little Scouts).
